1992: Orloff/Williams opens for business at 66 East Santa Clara Street in downtown San Jose with three clients: Hotel De Anza, the San Jose Sports Authority and Merrill Lynch.
1993: Orloff/Williams wins national Telly Award for its Earth Journal news segment created for KNTV, and sponsored by Waste Management.
1994: San Jose is awarded a Major League Soccer team, thanks to a bid package written and designed by Orloff/Williams. Orloff/Williams wins PRSA Compass Award for its campaign to "keep the cameras rolling" for Camera Cinemas.
1995: Orloff/Williams moves to greatly expanded offices at Two North Second Street in downtown San Jose. Celebrates with big party.
1996: Orloff/Williams principals and staff travel to New York to accept coveted Silver Anvil award from the Public Relations Society of America for its work advocating for a better homeless policy in San Jose. Orloff/Williams named one of Silicon Valley's fastest-growing companies by the Business Journal.
1997: Orloff/Williams manages international publicity for the NHL All-Star game. Highlight of the game is dropping a puck form the space shuttle to start the game - a stunt coordinated with NASA by Dan Orloff. Business Journal names Orloff/Williams one of valley's fastest-growing companies for the second year.
1998: Orloff/Williams hired by Harker to launch new private high school with advertising and public relations campaign. Campaign materials win local and regional ADDY awards. Orloff/Williams expands offices at Two North Second Street. Business Journal names Orloff/Williams one of valley's fastest-growing companies for the third consecutive year.
1999: Harker Upper School opens to full enrollment. Dan Orloff receives "Distinguished Alumni" award from San Jose City College.
2000: Orloff/Williams garners international publicity for the opening of Bonfante Gardens Theme Park in Gilroy, California.
2001: On the heels of September 11, Orloff/Williams creates anti-hate campaign for the Network for a Hate Free Community, and leverages media relationships to garner $200,000 in donated media. Orloff/Williams wins an unprecedented four PRSA Compass Awards.
2002: Anti-hate campaign wins awards for advertising and public relations excellence in local and regional awards competitions. Television spot wins top honor at San Francisco ADDY competition. Nanci Williams receives American Advertising Federation's coveted Silver Medal Award for individual contributions to the field of advertising.
2003: Low-point in company history. Long-time Orloff/Williams general manager Diane Murdock loses five-year battle against breast cancer. Memorial service is attended by more than 500 people.
2004: KFOX radio personality Greg Kihn says on the air that he likes the radio spots produced by Orloff/Williams, and calls us his favorite agency. Dan Orloff almost drives off the road when he hears it.
2005: Orloff/Williams launches "the secret" advertising and public relations campaign for the Rosicrucian Order in major media markets throughout the U.S. A website created as part of the campaign -- thesecret.org -- receives millions of hits.
2006: Nanci Williams is named Chair of the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce Board (only the 4th woman to serve as chair in the Chamber's 80 year history.) Orloff/Williams moves offices into basement for one-week, while offices are remodeled. Moves back in to brand-spanking-new office, after signing another long- term lease. (Let's face it, we LIKE it here.)
2007: Orloff/Williams receives ABBY Award from the Arts Council for its support of local non-profits, and ADDY Judges Award for its 2006 animated holiday greeting. Orloff/Williams turns 15 in low-key celebration. (Big "Sweet 16" party planned for next year.)
2008: Orloff/Williams launches new website, and agency begins offering Social Marketing services. Stock market crashes, but all our clients survive.  Smaller budgets mean bigger creative, so we're in good shape for what's to come.  Sweet 16 party is postponed when landlord points to "no parties" clause in our lease.
2009: First staff meeting of the year begins with a ceremonial blessing of the client roster, which Dan Orloff says is the most wonderful group of individuals he has ever had the privilege of working with.  Print and broadcast campaign we created for Applied Materials wins ADDY Awards at both local and regional levels.  Big Party is reinvented as small party every Friday night.  (Sometimes Thursdays too.)
2010:: Added exciting new clients to the line-up this year... Santa Catalina School in Monterey, Republic Solar Highways, ZentLaw, Borelli Motor Sports... to name just a few. Social marketing capabilities expand greatly and take-off. Even mainstay clients like the San Jose Flea Market make thousands of new friends on Facebook.
2011: A big year. Orloff/Williams becomes Orloff Williams Partners to reflect the addition of two new principals. Long-time creative director Mike Bohrer becomes a partner in the firm, and Jack Wimberly of Transparency joins OWP as a partner, expanding our social marketing and new media capabilities. More senior-level people with skin in the game means better service overall.
