Mission
The Silicon Valley Conservation Council is a collaborative organization of business, environmental, governmental, foundation and community leaders working to preserve open space, promote smart growth, and enhance the quality of life in Silicon Valley.
Philosophy
Traditionally the interests of commerce and conservation have been viewed as adversarial. The Silicon Valley Conservation Council starts at a different place - one of collaboration.
We take the position that it is at the crossroads of these different bodies of knowledge that truly creative and valuable insights often occur: Insights that offer distinctive impact, tapping hidden potential and offering innovative and creative solutions to shared problems.
Outcome oriented and reality driven, we seek sustainable economies, while embracing environmental stewardship, and are committed to facilitating strategic partnerships that work in concert for the benefit of the community to provide better places to live, work and play.
