The Bay Area is defined as the nine counties of Alameda,
Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and
Sonoma. All nine counties and 99 of the
101 cities within the Bay Area are voluntary members of ABAG, representing

CNU is a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that
was founded in 1993. CNU works with
architects, developers, planners, and others involved in the creation of cities
and towns, teaching them how to implement the principles of New Urbanism. These

attractive, accommodating civic spaces. CNU has over 2,000 members throughout
the United States and around the world.
